We left Rogue River Valley State Park,OR, this morning right at the crack of 10:15 AM. I don't know what slowed us down this morning. I didn't talk to anyone while getting hooked up. Maybe I am just getting slow. The trip was uneventful. We had a little rain in spots. But only for short stretches. Stopped at the Seven Feathers Indian casino to buy fuel and lunch. Diesel $2.29. Thats about what we have been paying. I have seen it for more. We traveled 244 miles today.
The chicken on the dash is well traveled. We got this chicken in Chicken, AK in June of 2006 and it has been riding on our dash ever since. We received this chicken for buying fuel in Chicken, AK at $5.25 gal - Chicken was free. The chicken does not have to be fed or watered. It does not make any noise also does not have to be walked. Maybe I'll get a companion for our chicken this summer on our trip to Alaska. Also setting on the dash next to the chicken is our pet frog. This is a rescue frog. We found this frog laying upside down in a parking lot in Lufkin, TX . I thought it was a real frog but in moving it I found that it was plastic. We clean it up and Barb made a collar and leash for it. It rides very quietly and does not need to be fed or watered. Our frog has been riding on the dash since 2003.
