Grants Pass, OR

We spent the day looking around Grants Pass, OR. Our main goal was to get our taxes in the mail. This is our contribution to the stimulus program. We walked thru part of the down town area. Barb checked out a bead store and I checked out a kitchen store. We didn't buy anything , just looked. Lunch time we found a small cafe (Etheral Cafe) and had a nice lunch. Soup and half a sandwich. Very good. In the afternoon we checked out a dam on the Rogue river that is being removed so the fish can go up river easier. The dam has been here 75 years and was built for irrigation of the local area. Pumps will be used now. We also saw this osprey peeking out of it's nest.
