LIARD HOT SPRINGS PROVENCIAL PARK, BC

As we left Fort Nelson, BC it was 56 degrees and sunny.  It was quite a day for seeing wildlife -  2 bears, 1 caribou, 1 deer, several buffalo, stone sheep and a dead rabbit and porcupine.  We didn’t take pictures of the rabbit and porcupine.

We stopped and had a cinnamon roll at Tetsa River Service and Campground.  We had stopped there in 2006 for a roll when we came thru.  The rolls were as good as last time.

Stopped at Toad River Lodge so Diane could buy a hat for her friend.  The ceiling of the lodge has over 7,000 hats tacked on it from visitors from  all over the world.

Muncho Lake was like a mirror. Got some good pictures of the mountain reflections in the lake.  Still some ice on one end of the lake.

Stopped at Liard Hot Springs for the night where  we dry camped.  We had our generator going for a while.  We all walked out to the hot springs and took a soak.  It felt pretty good but you could smell the sulfur smell.  On the way back we met a park employee who informed us the highway was closed north of us because of a fire.  Ash was falling all around us.
