Coming thru Spokane, WA
This morning we left Hermiston, OR headed for Chewelah, WA. As we cross the Columbia River into Washington the terrain changes to open more desert like country. In this area wheat, canola, and potatoes are grown. The fields are being worked and we saw a few fields where something green is starting to break through the ground. We stopped in Ritzville, WA for lunch and then on down the road to Spokane, WA where we picked up highway 395 and headed north to Chewelah, WA where our friends Lee and Sharon live. Lee is an old Marine Corps Buddy and we like to get together and tell lies. We arrived in Chewelah about 3:30 PM and drove 239 miles today. As we were getting set up I heard tires squealing and saw a red pickup coming into the RV park - here comes my buddy Lee. Like a good Marine he had cold beer with him. Sure is good to see Lee and Sharon. We always have fun together. We saw 6 deer feeding along the runway at the airport where Lee's home is located.
